Book published on occasion of the 25 year retrospective of Yves Saint Laurent’s work, held at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York between December 1983 and September 1984. The book includes 70 color photographs by photographer Duane Michals as well as black and white photographs by Pierre Boulat and Nicholas Vreeland, as well as by leading photographers such as Richard Avendon, Irving Penn, Bert Stern, Neal Barr and Bill King. This volume also includes texts by Yves Saint Laurent, Diane Vreeland, Pierre Bergé, Paloma Picasso, Catherine Deneuve and Marella Agnelli among others.
